CHECK DRIVE BELT TENSION\n\nUsing a belt tension gauge, check the drive belt tension.\nBelt tension gauge:\nNippondenso BTG-20 (95506-00020) or\nBorroughs No. BT-33-73F\nDrive belt tension:\nNew belt 180 ± 20 lb\nUsed belt 105 ± 10 lb\nNOTE:\n• \"New belt\" refers to a belt which has been used less than 5 minutes on a running engine.\n• \"Used belt\" refers to a belt which has been used on a running engine for 5 minutes or more.\n\n3. START ENGINE\n\n4. TURN ON A/C SWITCH\nCheck that the A/C operates at each position of the blower switch.\n\n5. CHECK MAGNETIC CLUTCH OPERATION\n\n6. CHECK THAT IDLE INCREASES\nWhen the magnetic clutch engages, engine revolution should increase.\nStandard idle up rpm: 900 — 1,000 rpm\n\n7. CHECK AMOUNT OF REFRIGERANT\nIf you can see bubbles in the sight glass, additional refrigerant is needed. (See page AC-11)\n\n8. IF NO OR INSUFFICIENT COOLING, INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE\nUsing a gas leak tester, inspect each component of the refrigeration system.
