COVER PISTON WITH A RAG AND REMOVE\nACCUMULATOR PISTONS AND SPRINGS\nWARNING: Keep face away to avoid injury.\nPosition a rag to catch each piston. Using low-pressure\ncompressed air (1 kg/cm², 14 psi or 98 kPa; max.), pop\neach piston into the rag. Force air into the holes shown\nand remove the pistons and springs.\n\n19. REMOVE PARKING LOCK ROD\n\n20. REMOVE SPRING, PIVOT PIN AND PARKING LOCK PAWL\n\n21. IF NECESSARY, REMOVE MANUAL LEVER SHAFT\n(a) Using a hammer and screwdriver, pry and shift the\ncollar.\n(b) Using a hammer and punch, drive out the pin.\n(c) Slide the shaft out case and remove the detent plate.\n\n22. PLACE TRANSMISSION CASE ON CYLINDER\nPlace the transmission on a cylindrical stand for more effi-\ncient work.\nCAUTION: Place shop rags between the case and stand\nto avoid damaging the case.\n\n23. MEASURE DISTANCE BETWEEN TOP OF CASE AND\nCLUTCH DRUM\nSet SST on the case as shown in the figure.\nSST 09350-20013 (09370-12010)\nMake a note of the finding for
