CHECK FLUID LEVEL (See page MA-13)\n\n2. CHECK FLUID CONDITION\nIf the ATF smells burnt or is black, replace it.\n\n3. REPLACE ATF (See page MA-10)\n\nADJUSTMENTS\n\nADJUSTMENT OF THROTTLE CABLE\n\n1. DEPRESS ACCELERATOR PEDAL ALL THE WAY AND CHECK THAT THROTTLE VALVE OPENS FULLY\nIf the throttle valve does not open fully, adjust the accelerator link.\n\n2. FULLY DEPRESS ACCELERATOR\n\n3. LOOSEN ADJUSTMENT NUTS\n\n4. ADJUST THROTTLE CABLE\n(a) Adjust the cable housing so that the distance between the end of the boot and the stopper on the cable is correct.\nDistance: 0 — 1 mm (0 — 0.04 in.)\n(b) Tighten the adjusting nuts.\n(c) Recheck the adjustments.\n\nADJUSTMENT OF FLOOR SHIFT LINKAGE\n\nADJUST SHIFT LINKAGE\n(a) Loosen the nut on the shift linkage.\n(b) Push the manual lever fully rearward.\n(c) Return the lever two notches to the NEUTRAL position.\n(d) Set the shift selector in \"N\".\n(e) While holding the selector lightly toward the \"R\" range side, tighten the shift linkage nut.\n\nADJUSTMENT OF NEUTRAL START SWITCH\n\nIf the engine will start with the shift selector in any range other than \"N\" or \"P\", adjustment is required.\n\n1. LOOSEN NEUTRAL START SWITCH BOLT AND SET SHIFT SELECTOR IN \"N\" RANGE\n\n2. ADJUST NEUTRAL START SWITCH\n(a) Disconnect the neutral start switch connector.\n(b) Connect the ohmmeter between the terminals.\n(c) Adjust the switch to the point where there is continuity between N and B terminals.\n(d) Connect the neutral start switch connector.\n\n3. TORQUE NEUTRAL START SWITCH BOLT\nTorque: 55 kg·cm (48 in.·lb, 5.4
