REMOVE RING GEAR AND THRUST WASHER\n\n5. REMOVE THRUST BEARING AND RACES FROM OVERDRIVE CASE\nNote the position of the races.\n\n6. REMOVE SNAP RING, SPRING RETAINER AND RETURN SPRINGS\n\n7. REMOVE BRAKE PISTON\nBlow compressed air through the case hole indicated in the figure to pop out the brake piston.\nIf the piston does not pop out, lift it out with needle-nose pliers.\n\n8. REMOVE TWO OIL SEAL RINGS FROM OVERDRIVE CASE\n\n9. REMOVE O-RINGS FROM PISTON\n\nINSPECTION OF OVERDRIVE CASE AND BRAKE\n\nINSPECT DISC, PLATE AND FLANGE\n\nCheck that the sliding surface of disc is not worn or burnt.\nIf the disc is worn or burnt, replace all discs.\nThen check that the sliding surfaces of plate and flange are not worn or burnt.\nIf necessary, replace them.\nNOTE: Do not allow the discs to dry out.\nPrepare new discs by soaking them at least two hours in
