INSPECT RELAY OPERATION\n(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3. Connect the negative (—) lead to terminals 1 and 2.\n(b) Check the continuity between terminals 3 and 5 and terminals 3 and 6.\n\nIf operation is not as specified, replace the relay.\n\nLight Retractor Control Relay\n\nINSPECTION OF LIGHT RETRACTOR CONTROL RELAY\n\nINSPECT RELAY OPERATION\n(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5. Connect the negative (—) lead to terminal 1.\n(b) Connect the negative (—) lead from the battery to terminal 3. After disconnecting the connection between terminal 3 and battery, check the continuity for 6 — 14 seconds between terminals 1 and 2.\n(c) Check the continuity between terminals 1 and 4 after connecting the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 6. After disconnecting the connection between terminal 6 and the battery, check that there is continuity for 2 — 4 seconds between terminals 1 and 4, and continuity immediately for 6 — 14 seconds between terminals 1 and 2.\n\nIf operation is not as specified, replace the relay.\n\nLight Retractor Motor\n\nINSPECTION OF LIGHT RETRACTOR MOTOR\n\n1. INSPECT MOTOR OPERATION\nConnect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and connect the negative (—) lead to terminal 5. Check that the motor runs.\n\nIf there is no motor operation, replace the motor.\n\n[Diagram showing motor terminal layout with numbers 1-5]\n0367\n\n2. INSPECT DIODE CONTINUITY OF MOTOR\n(a) Move the headlights to any position except the uppermost or lowermost position.\n(b) Connect the ohmmeter positive (+) lead to terminal 4 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 5.\n(c) Connect the ohmmeter positive (+) lead to terminal 4 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 3.\n\nIf there is no continuity, replace the motor assembly.\n\nContinuity\n[Diagram
