{"model":"mk2","model_name":"MK2 Supra","vehicle":"Toyota Supra A60 (1982–1986, 5M-GE)","document":"Repair Manual","section":"BO","section_name":"Body","page":2,"pages_in_section":52,"title":"Hood","section_header":"Body — Hood","ocr_text":"HOOD\nADJUSTMENT OF HOOD\n\n• For forward/rearward and left/right adjustments, loosen the bolts.\n\n• For vertical adjustment of the front edge of the hood, turn the cushion.\n\n• For vertical adjustment of the rear edge of the hood, loosen the bolts.\n\nADJUSTMENT OF HOOD LOCK\nADJUST HOOD LOCK BY LOOSENING MOUNTING BOLTS\n\nHood Damper Stay\n\nCAUTION: Handling the damper.\n\n(a) Do not disassemble the damper because the cylinder is filled with gas.\n\n(b) If the damper is damped, drill a 2.0 — 3.0 mm (0.079 — 0.118 in.) hole in the bottom of the removed damper cylinder to completely release the high-pressure gas.\n\n(c) When drilling, chips may fly out so work carefully.\n\n(d) The gas is colorless, odorless and not poisonous.\n\n(e) When working, handle the damper carefully. Never score or scratch the exposed part of the piston rod, and never allow paint or oil to get on it.\n\n(f) Do not turn the piston rod and cylinder with the damper fully extended.\n\nREMOVAL OF DAMPER STAY\n\n1.
