{"model":"mk2","model_name":"MK2 Supra","vehicle":"Toyota Supra A60 (1982–1986, 5M-GE)","document":"Repair Manual","section":"FI","section_name":"EFI System","page":46,"pages_in_section":80,"title":"EFI System","section_header":"EFI System — Fuel System","ocr_text":"FI-46\n\nEFI SYSTEM — Fuel System\n\n(g) Install a gasket, SST, another gasket and union bolt to the delivery pipe as shown in the figure.\nSST 09268-45011\n(h) Wipe off any splattered gasoline.\n(i) Reconnect the battery cable.\n\n(j) Short both terminals of the fuel pump check connector.\n(k) Turn on the ignition switch.\n(l) Measure the fuel pressure.\nFuel pressure: 2.3 – 2.7 kg/cm²\n(33 – 38 psi, 226 – 265 kPa)\nIf high pressure, replace the pressure regulator.\nIf low pressure, check the following parts.\n• Fuel hoses and connection\n• Fuel pump\n• Fuel filter\n• Pressure regulator\n(m) Disconnect the service wire from the service connector.\n(n) Start the engine.\n(o) Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the pressure regulator and pinch it off.\n(p) Measure the fuel pressure at idling.\nFuel pressure: 2.3 – 2.7 kg/cm²\n(33 – 38 psi, 226 – 265 kPa)\n(q) Reconnect the vacuum sensing hose to the pressure regulator.\n(r) Measure the fuel pressure at idling.\nFuel pressure: 1.9 – 2.2 kg/cm²\n(27 – 31 psi, 186 – 216 kPa)\nIf not pressure, check the vacuum sensing hose and pressure regulator.\n(s) Stop the engine. Check that the fuel pressure remains above 1.5 kg/cm² (21 psi, 147 kPa) for 5 minutes after the engine is turned off.\nIf not within specification, check the fuel pump, pressure regulator and/or injectors.\n(t) After checking fuel pressure, disconnect the battery ground cable and carefully remove the SST to prevent gasoline from splashing.\n(u) Using new gaskets, reconnect the cold start injector hose to the delivery pipe.\n(v) Connect the wiring connector to the cold start injector.\n(w) Check for fuel
