LOOSEN EGR PIPE CONNECTING NUT\n\n9. DISCONNECT COLD START FUEL HOSE FROM DELIVERY PIPE\n\n10. REMOVE AIR INTAKE CHAMBER\n\n11. REMOVE COLD START INJECTOR FROM AIR INTAKE CHAMBER\n\nINSPECTION OF COLD START INJECTOR\n\n1. MEASURE RESISTANCE OF COLD START INJECTOR\nUsing an ohmmeter, check the resistance of the injector.\nResistance: 3 — 5 Ω\n\n2. CHECK INJECTION OF COLD START INJECTOR\n(a) Install the gasket, SST (two unions), another gaskets and two union bolts to the delivery pipe and injector.\nSST 09268-41045\n(b) Connect the SST (hose) from the unions.\nSST 09268-41045\n(c) Connect the SST (wire) to the injector.\nSST 09842-30050\nNOTE: Position the injector as far away from the battery as possible.\n(d) Put a container under the injector.\n(e) Turn on the ignition switch.\nNOTE: Do not start the engine.\n(f) Short both terminals of the fuel pump check connector with a service wire.\n(g) Connect the test probes of the SST to the battery and check that the fuel spray is as shown.\nSST 09842-30050\nNOTE: Perform this check within the shortest possible time.\n(h) Disconnect the test probes from the battery and check that fuel does not leak from the injector.\nFuel drop: Less than one drop of fuel per minute\n(i) After checking, restore the following to the previous state.\n• Fuel pump check connector\n• Ignition switch\n• SST\n• Cold start injector\n• Injector
