{"model":"mk2","model_name":"MK2 Supra","vehicle":"Toyota Supra A60 (1982–1986, 5M-GE)","document":"Repair Manual","section":"IG","section_name":"Ignition System","page":4,"pages_in_section":10,"title":"On-Vehicle Inspection","section_header":"Ignition System — On-Vehicle Inspection","ocr_text":"ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION\n\nSPARK TEST\n\nCHECK THAT SPARK OCCURS\n\n(a) Disconnect high-tension cord from the distributor.\n\n(b) Hold the end approx. 12.7 mm (0.50 in.) from body of car.\n\n(c) See if spark occurs while engine is being cranked.\n\nNOTE: To prevent gasoline from being injected from injector during this test, crank the engine for no more than 1-2 seconds at a time.\n\nIf the spark does not occur, perform the test as follows:\n\nSPARK TEST\n\nNO\n\nCHECK RESISTANCE OF HIGH-TENSION CORDS\n(See page IG-5)\n\nBAD → Replace the cord.\n\nOK\n\nCHECK POWER SUPPLY TO IGNITION COIL\n1. Ignition switch turn to ON.\n2.
