REPLACE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID\n(a) Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid.\n(b) Reinstall the drain plug securely.\n(c) With the engine OFF, add new fluid through the dip stick tube.\nFluid: ATF DEXRON® II\nDrain and refill capacity:\n2.4 liters (2.5 US qts, 2.1 Imp. qts)\nDry fill capacity:\n6.5 liters (6.9 US qts, 5.7 Imp. qts)\n(d) Start the engine and shift the selector into all posi tions from \"P\" through \"L\", and then shift into \"P\".\n(e) With the engine idling, check the fluid level. Add fluid up to the \"COOL\" level on the dipstick.\nCAUTION: Do not overfill.\n\n21. REPACK FRONT AND REAR (IRS ONLY) WHEEL BEARINGS\n(a) Change the front wheel bearing grease. (See pages FA-6 to 9)\nGrease grade: Multipurpose grease (NLGI No. 2) *\nFront wheel bearing friction preload (while turning):\n0 — 1,050 g (0 — 2.3 lb, 0 — 10 N)\nIn addition to oil seal frictional force\n\n(b) IRS Type Rear Axle\nChange the rear wheel bearing grease.
