REPLACE SPARK PLUGS (PLATINUM TIPPED)\n(a) Disconnect the spark plug wires at the boot.\nDO NOT pull on the wires.\n(b) Remove the spark plugs.\n\n(c) Check the gap on the new plugs.\nGap: 1.1 mm (0.043 in.)\nRecommended spark plugs:\nND P16R\nNGK BPR5EP11\nNOTE: When adjusting the tip of a new plug, bend only the base of the ground electrode. Do not touch the tip. Never attempt to adjust the gap on a used plug.\n\n4. INSPECT AIR FILTER\n(a) Visually check that the air cleaner element is not excessively dirty, damaged or oily.\n(b) Clean the element with compressed air.\nFirst blow from the back side thoroughly. Then blow off the front side of the element.\n\n5. REPLACE AIR FILTER\nReplace the air cleaner element with a new one.\n\n6. REPLACE ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER\n(See page LU-3)\nEngine oil grade:\nAPI grade SF or SF/CC, multigrade viscosity and fuel-efficient oil\nEngine oil capacity (Drain and refill with oil filter change):\n5.1 liters (5.4 US qts, 4.5 Imp. qts)\n\n7. REPLACE ENGINE COOLANT\n(a) Drain the coolant from the radiator and engine drain cocks.
