{"model":"mk2","model_name":"MK2 Supra","vehicle":"Toyota Supra A60 (1982–1986, 5M-GE)","document":"Repair Manual","section":"RA","section_name":"Rear Axle And Suspension","page":10,"pages_in_section":55,"title":"Rear Axle And Suspension","section_header":"Rear Axle and Suspension - Irs Type Rear Axle Shaft","ocr_text":"RA-10     REAR AXLE AND SUSPENSION - IRS Type Rear Axle Shaft\n\n(c) Revolve the shaft back and forth to snug it down\n\n(d) Measure the rotation torque (initial resistance) while turning the side gear shaft.\n\n(e) Torque the nuts.\nTorque: 800 kg-cm (58 ft-lb, 78 N-m)\n\n(f) Using a torque wrench, check the preload rotation.\nPreload (rotation): Add initial resistance torque 1-4 kg-cm (0.9-3.5 in.-lb, 0.1-0.4 N-m)\nNOTE: Turn the flange one turn per 6 seconds and measure the preload.\nIf preload is less than specification, retighten the nut 5-10° at a time until the specified preload is reached.\nMaximum torque: 2,000 kg-cm (145 ft-lb, 196 N-m)\n\n3.
