MEASURE DRIVE PINION PRELOAD\nUsing a torque wrench, measure the preload of the backlash between the drive pinion and ring gear.\nPreload (starting): 6 — 10 kg·cm\n(5.2 — 8.7 in.-lb, 0.6 — 1.0 N·m)\n\n9. CHECK TOTAL PRELOAD\nUsing a torque wrench, measure the total preload.\nTotal preload: In addition to drive pinion preload\n4 — 6 kg·cm (3.5 — 5.2 in.-lb, 0.4 — 0.6 N·m)\n\n10.
