INSPECT IDLE SPEED (N RANGE)\n\nConnect a tachometer test probe to the check connector terminal IG, inspect the idle speed.\n\nIdle speed: 7M-GE 700 rpm\n            7M-GTE 650 rpm\n\nManual Shifting Test\n\nHINT: With this test, it can be determined whether the trouble lies within the electrical circuit or is a mechanical problem in the transmission.\n\n1. DISCONNECT ECT ECU CONNECTOR\n\n(a) Remove the cowl side trim of passenger side.\n(b) With the engine OFF, disconnect the ECT ECU connector.\n\n2. INSPECT MANUAL DRIVING OPERATION\n\nCheck that the shift and gear positions correspond with the table below.\n\nShift position | D range | 2 range | L range | R range | P range\nGear position | O/D | 3rd | 1st | Reverse | Pawl Lock\n\nHINT: If the L, 2 and D range gear positions are difficult to distinguish, perform the following road test.\n\n• While driving, shift through the L, 2 and D ranges. Check that the gear change corresponds to the shift position.\n\nIf any abnormality is found in the above test, the problem lies in transmission itself.\n\n3. CONNECT ECT ECU CONNECTOR\n\n(a) Connect the ECT ECU connector.\n(b) Install the cowl side trim of passenger
