Check that the motor operates in the push direction.\n\n(b) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 1. Check that the motor operates in the release direction.\n\nIf operation is not as specified, replace the motor.\n\nPower Seat Motor\n(Slide and Vertical)\n\nINSPECTION OF MOTOR\n\nINSPECT MOTOR OPERATION\n\n(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 2. Check that the motor turns clockwise.\n\n(b) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 1. Check that the motor turns counterclockwise.\n\nIf operation is not as specified, replace the motor.\n\nPower Seat Motor\n(Reclining)\n\nINSPECTION OF MOTOR\n\nINSPECT MOTOR OPERATION\n\n(a) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 1. Check that the motor turns clockwise.\n\n(b) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (—) lead to terminal 2.
