CHECK THAT PEDAL HEIGHT IS CORRECT\nPedal height from asphalt sheet:\n151.5 - 161.5 mm (5.96 - 6.36 in.)\nIf incorrect, adjust the pedal height.\n\n2. IF NECESSARY, ADJUST PEDAL HEIGHT\n(a) If necessary, remove the instrument lower finish panel and air duct.\n(b) Loosen the stop light switch lock nut.\n(c) Sufficiently loosen the stop light switch.\n(d) Loosen the push rod lock nut.\n(e) Adjust the pedal height by turning the pedal push rod.\n(f) Return the stop light switch until it lightly contacts the pedal stopper.\n(g) Tighten the two lock nuts.\n(h) Check that the stop lights light when the brake pedal depressed.\n(i) After adjusting the pedal height, check and adjust the pedal freeplay.\n\n3. CHECK THAT PEDAL FREEPLAY IS CORRECT\n(a) Stop the engine and depress the brake pedal several times until there is no more vacuum left in the booster.\n(b) Push in the pedal by hand until the beginning of the second resistance is felt, measure the distance, as shown.\nPedal freeplay: 3 - 6 mm (0.12 - 0.24 in.)\nHINT: The first resistance is due to the play between the clevis and pin. And it is 1 - 3 mm (0.04 - 0.12 in.) on the pedal.\n\n4.
