CHECK FOR SHORT CIRCUIT\nUsing an ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between the terminals and the VSV body.\nIf there is continuity, replace the VSV.\n\nOhmmeter\n[Diagram showing ohmmeter connected to VSV]\nEC2268\n\n3. CHECK FOR OPEN CIRCUIT\nUsing an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the terminals.\nSpecified resistance: 38 — 44 Ω at 20°C (68°F)\nIf the resistance is not within specification, replace the VSV.\n\nINSPECTION OF EGR VALVE\n\n1. REMOVE EGR VALVE\nCheck the valve for sticking and heavy carbon deposits.\nIf a problem is found, replace it.\n\n2. INSTALL EGR VALVE WITH NEW GASKET\n\nINSPECTION OF WATER TEMP.
