DISCONNECT STEERING KNUCKLE FROM UPPER SUS-\nPENSION ARM\n(a) Remove the cotter pin and nut.\n(b) Using SST, disconnect the steering knuckle from the\nupper suspension arm.\nSST 09628-62011\n\n6. REMOVE STEERING KNUCKLE\n(a) Remove the clip and nut.\n(b) Using SST, remove the steering knuckle from the low-\ner ball joint.\nSST 09628-62011\n\nDISASSEMBLY OF FRONT AXLE HUB\n(See page FA-8)\n\n1. REMOVE HUB BEARING CAP\nUsing a screwdriver, remove the hub bearing cap from the\nsteering knuckle.\n\n2. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB LOCK NUT\n(a) Clamp the axle hub in a soft jaw vice.\nHINT: Close vice until it holds hub bolt do not tighten\nfurther.\n(b) Using a hammer and chisel, loosen the staked part of\nthe lock nut and remove it.\n\n3.
