DRAIN COOLANT FROM THROTTLE BODY\n\n2. DISCONNECT ACCELERATOR ROD\n\n3. REMOVE AIR INTAKE CONNECTOR\n(See steps 3 to 5 on page EM-12)\n\n4. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSES\n\n5. DISCONNECT THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR\nCONNECTOR\n\n6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY\n(a) Disconnect the two water by-pass hoses from the ISC\nvalve and water pipe.\n\n(b) Remove the four bolts, throttle body and gasket.\n(c) Remove the two water by-pass hoses.\n(d) Remove the VTV.\n\nINSPECTION OF THROTTLE BODY\n\n1. CLEAN THROTTLE BODY BEFORE INSPECTION\n(a) Wash and clean the cast parts with a soft brush and\ncarburetor cleaner.\n(b) Using compressed air, blow all passages and apertures\nin the throttle body.\nCAUTION: To prevent deterioration, do not clean the\nthrottle position sensor and dash pot.\n\n2. CHECK THROTTLE VALVE\nCheck that there is no clearance between the throttle stop\nscrew and throttle lever when the throttle valve is fully\nclosed.\n\nThrottle Lever\nNo Clearance\nThrottle Stop
