{"model":"mk3","model_name":"MK3 Supra","vehicle":"Toyota Supra A70 (1986.5–1992, 7M-GE / 7M-GTE)","document":"Repair Manual","section":"FI","section_name":"EFI System","page":73,"pages_in_section":126,"title":"EFI System","section_header":"EFI System — Fuel System","ocr_text":"SST\n\nF11649\n\nSST\n\nF04231\n\nSST\n\nDisconnect\n\nF11650\n\nSST\n\nReconnect\n\nF11651\n\n(l) Turn the ignition switch ON.\n(m) Measure the fuel pressure.\nFuel pressure:\n7M-GE\n2.7 — 3.1 kg/cm² (38 — 44 psi, 265 — 304 kPa)\n7M-GTE\n2.3 — 2.8 kg/cm² (33 — 40 psi, 226 — 275 kPa)\nIf pressure is high, replace the fuel pressure regulator.\nIf pressure is low, check the following parts:\n• Fuel hoses and connection\n• Fuel pump\n• Fuel filter\n• Fuel pressure regulator\n(n) Remove the SST.\nSST 09843-18020\n\n(o) Start the engine.\n(p) Disconnect the vacuum sensing hose from the fuel\npressure regulator and plug the hose end.\n(q) Measure the fuel pressure at idling.\nFuel pressure:\n7M-GE\n2.7 — 3.1 kg/cm² (38 — 44 psi, 265 — 304 kPa)\n7M-GTE\n2.3 — 2.8 kg/cm² (33 — 40 psi, 226 — 275 kPa)\n\n(r) Reconnect the vacuum sensing hose to the fuel pressure regulator.\n(s) Measure the fuel pressure at idling.\nFuel pressure:\n7M-GE\n2.1 — 2.6 kg/cm² (30 — 37 psi, 206 — 265 kPa)\n7M-GTE\n1.6 — 2.1 kg/cm² (23 — 30 psi, 157 — 206 kPa)\nIf pressure is not as specified, check the vacuum sensing\nhose and fuel pressure regulator.\n(t) Stop the engine. Check that the fuel pressure remains\n1.5 kg/cm² (21 psi, 147 kPa) or more for 5 minutes\nafter the engine is turned off.\nIf pressure is not as specified, check the fuel pump, pressure regulator and/or injector.\n(u) After checking fuel pressure, disconnect the battery\nnegative (—) cable and carefully remove the SST to\nprevent gasoline from splashing.\n\nSST
