DISCONNECT AIR FLOW METER CONNECTOR\n\n2. DISCONNECT NO.2 AIR CLEANER HOSE\n\n3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP\n   Remove the two bolts and cap.\n\n4. REMOVE AIR FLOW METER\n   Pry off the lock plates, and remove the four nuts, and air\n   flow meter.\n\nFI1682\n\nINSPECTION OF AIR FLOW METER\n\nINSPECT RESISTANCE OF AIR FLOW METER\n\nUsing an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each\nterminal by moving the measuring plate.\n\nTerminals          Resistance Ω                Measuring plate\n                                                opening\n\nFC — E1           Infinity                     Fully closed\n\n                   Zero                         Other than\n                                                closed position\n\nVS — E2           200 — 600                    Fully closed\n\n                   20 — 1,200                   Fully open\n\nHINT: Resistance between VS and E2 will change in a\nwave pattern as the measuring plate slowly opens.\n\nIf the resistance is not as specified, replace the meter.\n\nF1546\nF2043\n\nINSTALLATION OF AIR FLOW METER\n\n1. INSTALL AIR FLOW METER\n   Install the air flow meter with the two new lock plates and\n   four nuts. Pry the lock plates on to the nuts.\n\n2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP\n   Install the cap with two bolts.\n\n3. CONNECT NO.2 AIR CLEANER HOSE\n\n4. INSTALL AIR FLOW METER
