REMOVE CENTER BEARING RETAINER\n(a) Using a torx socket wrench, unscrew the torx screws and remove the retainer.\n\n(b) Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap rings.\n\n18. REMOVE OUTPUT SHAFT AND COUNTER GEAR AS A UNIT FROM INTERMEDIATE PLATE\n(a) Remove the output shaft, input shaft and counter gear as a unit from the intermediate plate by pulling on the counter gear and tapping on the intermediate plate with a plastic hammer.\n(b) Remove the input shaft from output shaft.\n\n19. INSPECT BACK UP LIGHT SWITCH\nCheck that there is continuity between terminal as shown.\n\nSwitch Position          Specified\nPush                     Continuity\nFree                     No continuity\n\nIf operation is not as specified, replace
