IF NECESSARY, REPLACE COUNTER GEAR CENTER BEARING\n(a) Remove the bearing from the counter gear.\n(b) Install a new bearing on the counter gear.\nHINT: Engage the roller cages.\n\n(c) Using SST, tap out the bearing outer race.\nSST 09608-35014 (09608-06020, 09608-06090)\nHINT: The outer race will be installed later, as the transmission is assembled.\n\nASSEMBLY OF COUNTER GEAR ASSEMBLY\n\nINSERT NO.3 CLUTCH HUB INTO HUB SLEEVE\n(a) Install No.3 clutch hub and the shifting keys to the hub sleeve.\n(b) Install the shifting key springs under the shifting keys.\nNOTICE: Install the key springs positioned so that their end gaps are not in line.\n\n(c) Using SST, install the shifting key retainer.\nSST 09238-47012\n\nINSPECTION OF REVERSE IDLER GEAR\n\n1. MEASURE REVERSE IDLER GEAR OIL CLEARANCE\nUsing a dial indicator, measure reverse idler gear oil clearance.\nStandard clearance: 0.041 - 0.074 mm\n                    (0.0016 - 0.0029 in.)\nMaximum clearance: 0.194 mm (0.0076
