REMOVE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE\nCAUTION: Work must be started after approx. 20 seconds or longer from the \"LOCK\" position and the negative (—) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.\n\n2. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL\n\n3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER FROM INSIDE OF VEHICLE\n\n4. RAISE VEHICLE AND DRAIN TRANSMISSION OIL\nNOTICE: Be sure the vehicle is securely supported.\n\n5. REMOVE PROPELLER SHAFT\nRemove the propeller shaft and insert SST into the extension housing.\nSST 09325-20010 (for W58 M/T)\n09325-40010 (for R154 M/T)\n\n6. DISCONNECT EXHAUST FRONT PIPE FROM TAIL PIPE\n(a) Remove the rubber hanger.\n(b) Disconnect the pipe at the front side of the converter.\n\n7. (R154 M/T)\nREMOVE EXHAUST FRONT PIPE\n(a) Disconnect the exhaust pipe bracket from the clutch housing.\n(b) Remove the nuts and exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold.\n\n8. DISCONNECT SPEEDOMETER CABLE\n\n9. DISCONNECT BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH CONNECTOR AND REAR SPEED SENSOR CONNECTOR (w/
