MEASURE THIRD GEAR THRUST CLEARANCE\n      Using a feeler gauge, measure the 3rd gear thrust\n      clearance.\n      Standard clearance:  0.10 — 0.25 mm\n                          (0.0039 — 0.0098 in.)\n\n5.    INSTALL SECOND GEAR AND NO.1 HUB SLEEVE\n      (a)  Apply gear oil to the shaft and needle roller bearing.\n      (b)  Place the synchronizer ring on the gear and align the\n           ring slots with the shifting keys.\n      (c)  Install the needle roller bearing in the 2nd gear.\n\n      (d)  Using a press, install the 2nd gear and No.1 hub\n           sleeve.\n\n6.
