REVERSE IDLER GEAR\n\nMEASURE CLEARANCE OF REVERSE IDLER GEAR AND SHIFT ARM SHOE\n\nUsing a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the reverse idler gear and shift arm shoe.\n\nStandard clearance: 0.05 — 0.25 mm\n(0.0020 — 0.0098 in.)\n\nMaximum clearance: 0.5 mm (0.020 in.)\n\nIf the clearance exceeds the limit, replace the shift arm shoe or reverse idler gear.\n\nREPLACEMENT OF BEARING\n\nIF NECESSARY, REPLACE COUNTER GEAR FRONT BEARING\n\n(a) Using snap ring pliers, remove the snap ring.\n(b) Using SST, press out the bearing.\nSST 09950-00020\n(c) Replace the side race.\n\n(d) Using a 24-mm socket wrench, press in the bearing and inner race.\n\n(e) Select a snap ring that will allow minimum axial play and install it on the shaft.\n\nMark         Thickness
