REMOVE SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL\nUsing SST, remove the oil seal from the housing.\nSST 09308-00010\n\n6. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL CASE\n(a) Place matchmarks on the bearing cap and differential carrier.\n(b) Remove the two bearing caps.\n\n(c) Using SST, remove the two side bearing preload adjusting plate.\nSST 09504-22011\nHINT: Measure the adjusting plate washer and note the thickness.\n\n(d) Remove the differential case and bearing outer race from the carrier.\nHINT: Tag the bearing outer races to show the location for reassembly.\n\n7.
