INSTALL SIDE GEAR SHAFT OIL SEAL\n(a) Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.\n(b) Using SST, drive in the oil seal until it is flush with the carrier end surface.\nSST 09608-10010 and 09608-35014 (09608-06020)\n\n23. INSTALL SIDE GEAR SHAFT\n(a) Install a new snap ring to the side gear shaft.\n(b) Using SST, drive in the side gear shaft until it contacts the pinion shaft.\nSST 09520-24010\nHINT: As the LSD cannot be checked visually, check that the shaft is fully inserted by confirming the should it makes when it is tapped.\n\n24. MEASURE SIDE GEAR SHAFT RUNOUT\nMinimum lash runout: 0 mm (0 in.)\nMaximum radial runout: 0.2 mm (0.008 in.)\nIf the runout is greater than the maximum, replace the side gear shaft.\n\n25.
