REMOVE FOLLOWING PARTS FROM RH CASE:\n(a) Spring LH retainer and two spring\n(b) Spider with pinion gear\n(c) Spring RH retainer\n(d) Side gear\n(e) Side gear thrust washer (5 pieces)\n(f) Clutch plate (4 pieces)\nHINT: Keep the disassembled parts in order.\n\n04661\n\nINSPECTION OF COMPONENTS\n\n1. REPLACE PARTS THAT ARE DAMAGED OR WORN\nHINT: If replacing the side gear, also replace the thrust\nwasher making contact with it.\n\nRA0226\n\n2. INSPECT THRUST WASHERS FOR WEAR OR DAMAGE\nCheck that the contact surface of the thrust washer is even\nand that no bare metal is showing.\nThickness limit (reference): 1.74 mm (0.0685 in.)\nIf necessary, replace the thrust washers.\nHINT: If replacing the thrust washer, also replace the\nclutch plate making contact with it.\n\nRA0191\n\n3. INSPECT CLUTCH PLATE FOR WEAR OR DAMAGED\nCheck see that there is no abnormal wear.\nIf necessary, replace the clutch plate.\nHINT: As shown in the illustration, there are two types\nof clutch plates.
