REMOVE STEERING WHEEL PAD\n(a) Disconnect the battery negative (—) terminal.\n(b) Place the front wheels facing straight ahead.\n(c) Using a torx wrench, loosen the four screws.\nTorx wrench: T30 (Part No.09042-00010 or locally manufactured tool)\n(d) Loosen the torx screws until the groove along the screw circumference catches on the screw case.\n(e) Pull the wheel pad from the steering wheel and disconnect the airbag connector.\n\nNOTICE: When removing the wheel pad, take care not to pull the airbag wire harness.\n\nCAUTION: When storing the wheel pad, keep the upper surface of the pad facing upwards.\n\nAirbag Wire Harness\n\n2. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL\n(a) Disconnect the connector.\n(b) Remove the set nut.\n(c) Using SST, remove the steering wheel.\nSST 09213-31021\n\nSST\n\n3. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL AND WHEEL PAD\n(a) Check that the front wheels are facing straight ahead.\n(b) Center the spiral cable.\n(See page AB-16)\n(c) Install the steering wheel and torque the set nut.\nTorque: 350 kg-cm (25 ft-lb, 34 N-m)\n(d) Connect the connector.\n\nConnector\nAirbag Wire
