INSTALL RACK GUIDE SPRING CAP LOCK NUT\n(a) Apply sealant to 2 or 3 threads of the lock nut.\nSealant: Part No.08833-00080, THREE BOND 1344, LOCTITE 242 or equivalent\n(b) Using SST, install and torque the lock nut.\nSST 09612-24014 (09612-10022, 09617-24020)\nTorque: 570 kg-cm (41 ft-lb, 56 N-m)\nHINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 340 mm (13.39 in.).\n(c) Recheck the total preload.\n\n15. INSTALL DUST COVER\n\n16. INSTALL CLAW WASHERS AND RACK ENDS\n(a) Install new claw washers.\n(b) Using SST, install and torque the rack ends.\nSST 09612-24014 (09617-24011)\n09617-14010\nTorque: 940 kg-cm (68 ft-lb, 92 N-m)\nHINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 425 mm (16.73 in.).\n\n17. STAKE CLAW WASHERS\nUsing a brass bar and hammer, stake the two claw washers.\n\n18. INSTALL RACK BOOTS, CLAMPS AND CLIPS\n(a) Insure that the tube hole is not clogged with grease.\nHINT: If the tube hole is clogged, the pressure inside the boot will change after it is assembled and the steering wheel
