INSTALL RACK BOOTS, CLAMPS AND CLIPS\n(a) Insure that the tube hole is not clogged with grease.\nHINT: If the tube hole is clogged, the pressure inside the\nboot will change after it is assembled and the steering wheel\nturned.\n\n(b) Install the boots.\nHINT: Be careful not to damage or twist the boots.\n(c) Install the clamps.\n(d) Install the clips with the ends facing outward.\n\n17. INSTALL TIE ROD ENDS\nScrew the tie rod ends onto the rack ends until the match-\nmarks are aligned.\n\n18. INSTALL RIGHT AND LEFT TURN PRESSURE TUBES\n(a) Install two new union seats.\n(b) Using SST, tighten the nuts.\nSST 09633-00020\nTorque: 240 kg-cm (17 ft-lb, 24 N·m)\nHINT: Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of\n300 mm (11.81 in.).\n\n(c) Install the union bolts over the new gaskets and tor-\nque them.\nTorque: 350 kg-cm (25 ft-lb, 34
