INSPECT GEAR TEETH\n\nCheck the gear teeth on the pinion gear, idle gear and clutch assembly for wear or damage.\n\nIf damaged,replace the gear or clutch assembly.\n\nIf damaged, also check the flywheel ring gear for wear or damage.\n\n2. INSPECT CLUTCH\n\nRotate the clutch pinion gear clockwise and check that it turns freely. Try to rotate the clutch pinion counterclockwise and check that it locks.\n\nIf necessary, replace the clutch assembly\n\nFree\nLock\n\nBearings\n\n1. INSPECT BEARINGS\n\nTurn each bearing by hand while applying inward force.\n\nIf resistance is felt or if the bearing sticks, replace the bearing.\n\n2.
