INSPECT IMPELLER WHEEL ROTATION\nGrasp the edge of the turbine wheel and turn it. Check that\nthe impeller wheel turns smoothly.\nIf the impeller wheel does not turn or if it turns with a drag,\nreplace the turbocharger assembly.\n\nEM3275\n\n2. INSPECT AXIAL PLAY OF TURBINE SHAFT\nInsert a dial indicator into the hole in the turbine wheel on\nthe exhaust side and measure the axial play of the shaft.\nAxial play: 0.13 mm (0.0051 in.) or less\nIf the axial play is not as specified, replace the turbocharger\nassembly.\n\nEM3276\n\n3.
