Jack up the vehicle.\n   2.  Remove the oil pan.\n\nC  1.  Disconnect the solenoid connector.\n   2.  Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2\n       of solenoid connector.\n\nOK  Resistance: 3.6 — 4.0 .\n\nCheck solenoid operation\n\nC  Connect positive × lead with an 8 — 10 W bulb to\n   terminal 1 of solenoid connector and negative ⊕\n   lead to terminal 2, then check the movement of the\n   valve.\n\nOK\nWhen battery positive voltage is applied.  |  Valve moves in ➡ direction in illustration at left.\nWhen battery positive voltage is cut off.  |  Valve moves in ⬅ direction in illustration at left.\n\n<Reference>\nCheck solenoid operation\n\nC  1.  Prepare a variable power supply.\n   2.  Connect positive × lead of the variable power\n       supply to terminal 1 of solenoid connector and\n       negative ⊕ lead to terminal 2.\n   3.  Check the movement of the valve when the\n       voltage is gradually increased. (A current\n       greater than 1A should not be supplied.)\n\nOK  As the voltage is increased, the valve should move\n    slowly in the ➡ direction.\n\nC  4.  Check the movement of the valve when the volt–\n       age is cut off.\n\nOK  The valve should return in the ⬅ direction.\n\nAT5533\nAT5534 AT5535\nAT5534 AT5536\n\nOK                    NG  )
