CHECK DISC THICKNESS AND RUNOUT\n(See page BR–34)\n5. INSTALL NEW PADS\nNOTICE: When replacing worn pads, the anti–squeal\nshims must be replaced together with the pads.\n(a) Draw out a small amount of brake fluid from the reservoir.\n(b) Press in the pistons with a hammer handle or equivalent.\nHINT:\n• Always change the pads on one wheel at a time as there\nis a possibility of the opposite piston flying out.\n• If the piston is difficult to push in, loosen the bleeder plug\nand push in the piston while letting some brake fluid\nescape.\n(c) Install the 2 anti–squeal shims on each pad.\nHINT:\n• Apply disc brake grease to both sides of the inner\nanti–squeal shim.\n• Make sure that the arrow on the shims points upward.\n(d) Install the 2 pads with pad wear indicator plates facing\ndownward.\nNOTICE: Do not allow oil or grease to get on the rubbing\nface.\n6. INSTALL ANTI–RATTLE SPRING AND 2 PINS\n7. INSTALL CLIP\n\nCALIPER REMOVAL\nInstallation is in the reverse order of removal.\nAFTER INSTALLATION, FILL BRAKE RESERVOIR WITH\nBRAKE FLUID, BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM (See page BR–7)\nAND CHECK FOR LEAKS\n1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL\n2. DISCONNECT BRAKE HOSE\n(a) Remove the union bolt and 2 gaskets from the caliper, then\ndisconnect the brake hose from the caliper.\nTorque: 30 N·m (310 kgf·cm, 22 ft·lbf)\nINSTALLATION HINT: Install the flexible hose lock securely\nin the lock hole in the caliper.\n(b) Use a container to catch the brake
