SYSTEM\n\nINSPECTION PROCEDURE\n\n1  Check voltage between terminal IDL of ECU connector and body ground.\n\nON\n\nP  (1)  Remove cruise control ECU with connectors still connected.\n    (2)  Disconnect ECM and ABS & TRAC ECU connector.\n\nC  (1)  Turn ignition switch ON.\n    (2)  Measure voltage between terminal IDL of ECU connector and body ground, when the throttle valve is fully closed and fully opened.\n\nOK\nThrottle valve position       Voltage\nFully opened                  10 – 14 V\nFully closed                  Below 8 V\n\nIDL\nBE3841 BR3721\nNOB763\n\nNG\n\nOK  Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on matrix chart (See page BE–170).\n\n2  Check throttle position sensor.\n\nP  Disconnect throttle position sensor connector.\n\nC  Measure resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of throttle position sensor connector, when the throttle valve is fully closed and fully opened.\n\nOK\nThrottle valve position       Voltage\nFully opened                  1 MΩ or higher\nFully closed                  Below 2 Ω\n\nBR3721\n\nOK\n\nNG  Replace throttle position sensor.\n\n3  Check for open and short in harness and connector between ECU and throttle position sensor, throttle position sensor and body ground (See page IN–30).\n\nOK\n\nNG  Repair or replace harness or connector.\n\nCheck and replace
