To prevent scratching the instrument panel when removing the windshield, place a plastic sheet between the piano wire and instrument panel.\n(c) Cut the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around it.\n(d) Remove the glass.\nNOTICE: Leave as much of the adhesive on the body as possible when cutting off the glass.\n\nBO1689\n\nAdhesive\n\nBO4420\n\nWINDSHIELD INSTALLATION\n\n1. CLEAN AND SHAPE CONTACT SURFACE OF BODY\n(a) Using a knife, cut away any rough areas on the body.\nHINT: Leave as much of the adhesive on the body as possible.\n(b) Clean the cutting surface of the adhesive with a piece of shop rag saturated in cleaner.\nHINT: Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the body.\n\nND9043\n\n2. INSTALL SPACERS\nInstall the spacers to the body as shown in the illustration.\n\nBO5231\n\n3. CLEAN REMOVED GLASS\n(a) Using a scraper, remove the adhesive sticking to the glass.\n(b) Clean the glass with cleaner.\nNOTICE: Do not touch the glass after cleaning it.\n\nMark\n\nDouble Stick Tape\n\nN09471\n\n4.
