PLACE THERMOSTAT IN WATER INLET\n(a) Install a new gasket to the thermostat.\n(b) Align the jiggle valve of the thermostat with the protrusion of\nthe water inlet.\n2. INSTALL WATER INLET\n(a) Install the water inlet with the 2 nuts.\nTorque:\n2JZ–GE\n8.8 N·m (90 kgf·cm, 78 in.·lbf)\n2JZ–GTE\n21 N·m (210 kgf·cm, 15 ft·lbf)\n(b) 2JZ–GTE:\nConnect the lower radiator hose to the radiator.\n3. 2JZ–GTE:\nINSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER\n4. FILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT\n5. START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS\n\nRADIATOR\nRADIATOR CLEANING\nUsing water or a steam cleaner, remove any mud and dirt\nfrom the radiator core.\nNOTICE: If using a high pressure type cleaner, be careful not\nto deform the fins of the radiator core. If the cleaner nozzle\npressure is 2,942–3,432 kPa (30–35 kgf/cm2, 427–498 psi), keep\na distance of at least 40 cm (15.75 in.) between the radiator core\nand cleaner nozzle.\n\nRADIATOR INSPECTION\n1.
