CLEAN CYLINDER BLOCK\nA. Remove gasket material\nUsing a gasket scraper, remove all the gasket material from\nthe cylinder block surface.\nB. Clean cylinder block\nUsing a soft brush and solvent, thoroughly clean the cylinder\nblock.\n\n2. INSPECT CYLINDER BLOCK SURFACE FOR FLATNESS\nUsing precision straight edge and feeler gauge, measure the\nsurfaces of the cylinder block for warpage.\nMaximum warpage:\n0.07 mm (0.0028 in.)\nIf warpage is greater than maximum, replace the cylinder\nblock.\n\n3. INSPECT CYLINDER FOR VERTICAL SCRATCHES\nVisually check the cylinder for vertical scratches.\nIf deep scratches are present, replace the cylinder block.\n\n4. INSPECT CYLINDER BORE DIAMETER\nUsing a cylinder gauge, measure the cylinder bore diameter\nat positions A, B and C in the thrust and axial directions.\nStandard diameter:\n86.000–86.013 mm
