INSTALL IDLER PULLEY\n(a) Apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the pivot bolt.\nAdhesive:\nPart No. 08833–00080, THREE BOND 1344, LOCTITE\n242 or equivalent\n(b) Using a 10 mm hexagon wrench, install the plate washer and\npulley with the pivot bolt.\nTorque: 34 N·m (350 kgf·cm, 25 ft·lbf)\n(c) Check that the pulley bracket moves smoothly.\n\n2JZ-GE\n2JZ-GTE\n\n3. TEMPORARILY INSTALL TIMING BELT\nNOTICE: The engine should be cold.\n(a) Using the crankshaft pulley bolt, turn the crankshaft, and\nalign the timing marks on the crankshaft timing pulley and on\nthe oil pump body.\n(b) Remove any oil or water on the crankshaft timing pulley and\nidler pulley, and keep them clean.\n\n(c) Install the timing belt on the crankshaft timing pulley and idler\npulley.\nHINT (When re–using timing belt): Align the match marks of\nthe crankshaft timing pulley and timing belt, and install the\nbelt with the arrow pointing in the direction of engine revolu-\ntion.\n\n4. INSTALL TIMING BELT GUIDE\nInstall the guide, facing the cup side outward.\n5.
