INITIAL CONDITIONS\n(a) Engine at normal operating temperature\n(b) Air cleaner installed\n(c) All pipes and hoses of air induction system connected\n(d) All accessories switched OFF\n(e) All vacuum lines properly connected\nHINT: All vacuum hoses for EGR system, etc. should be properly connected.\n(f) SFI system wiring connectors fully plugged\n(g) Ignition timing set correctly\n(h) Transmission in neutral position\n(i) Tachometer and CO/HC meter calibrated by hand\n\n2. START ENGINE\n\n3. RACE ENGINE AT 2,500 RPM FOR APPROX. 180 SECONDS\n\nCO/HC Meter\n\nP11500\n\n4. INSERT CO/HC METER TESTING PROBE AT LEAST 40 cm (1.3 ft) INTO TAILPIPE DURING IDLING\n\n5. IMMEDIATELY CHECK CO/HC CONCENTRATION AT IDLE AND/OR 2,500 RPM\nHINT: When performing the 2 mode (2,500 rpm and idle) test, follow the measurement order prescribed by the applicable local
