INITIAL CONDITIONS\n(a) Engine at normal operating temperature\n(b) Air cleaner installed\n(c) All pipes and hoses of air induction system connected\n(d) All accessories switched OFF\n(e) All vacuum lines properly connected\nHINT:\nAll vacuum hoses for EGR system, etc. should be properly connected.\n(f) SFI system wiring connectors fully plugged\n(g) Ignition timing checked correctly\n(h) Transmission in neutral position\n2. CONNECT TOYOTA HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBDII SCAN TOO (See page EM-1 1)\n3. INSPECT IDLE SPEED\n(a) Race the engine speed at 2,500 rpm for approx. 90 seconds.\n(b) Check the idle speed.\n    Idle speed: 650 ± 50 rpm\nIf the idle speed is not as specified, check the IAC valve.\n4.
