WARM UP ENGINE\nAllow the engine to warm up to normal operating temperature.\n\nTOYOTA Hand-Held Tester\n\nDLC3\nQ08242\n\n2. CONNECT TOYOTA HAND-HELD TESTER OR OBDII SCAN TOOL\n(a) Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester or OBDII scan tool to the DLC3.\n(b) Please refer to the TOYOTA hand-held tester or OBDII scan tool operator's manual for further details.\n\n3. CONNECT TIMING LIGHT TO ENGINE\n4. CHECK IDLE SPEED\n(a) Race the engine speed at 2,500 rpm for approx. 90 seconds.\n(b) Check the idle speed.\nIdle speed: 650 ± 50 rpm\n\nDLC1 TE1\nE1\nP11288\n\n5. INSPECT IGNITION TIMING\n(a) Using SST, connect terminals TE1 and E1 of the DLC1.\nSST 09843-18020\n\nGreen Lead Wire\nP11943\n\n(b) Open the igniter connector cover and remove the green lead wire.\n(c) Connect the timing light clip to the green lead wire.\nNOTICE:\n• Use a timing light that can detect the primary signal.\n• After finishing the inspection, make sure the lead wire is stored inside the connector cover.\n(d) Using a timing light, check the ignition timing.\nIgnition timing: 10 ± 2° BTDC @ idle\n(Transmission in neutral position)\n\n1997 SUPRA (RM502U)\n\nAuthor : Date :
