INSTALL TIMING BELT\nHINT:\n(When re-using timing belt):\nAlign the matchmarks of the timing belt and camshaft timing\npulleys.\n(a)  Remove any oil or water on the camshaft timing pulley,\nand keep it clean.\n(b)  Install the timing belt, checking the tension between the\ncrankshaft timing pulley and exhaust camshaft timing\npulley.\n\n11.  SET TIMING BELT TENSIONER\n(a)  Using a press, slowly press in the push rod using 981 -\n9,807 N (100 - 1,000 kgf, 220 - 2,205 lbf) of force.\n(b)  Align the holes of the push rod and housing, pass a 1.5\nmm hexagon wrench through the holes to keep the push\nrod retracted.\n(c)  Release the press.\n\n1.5 mm\nHexagon\nWrench\nR6809\nZ02446\n\n(d)  Install the dust boot onto the tensioner.\n\nP04459\n\n12.  INSTALL TIMING BELT TENSIONER\n(a)  Temporarily install the tensioner with the 2 bolts.\n(b)  Alternately tighten the 2 bolts.\nTorque: 26 N·m (270 kgf·cm, 20 ft·lbf)\n\nP11756\n\n1997 SUPRA
