INSPECT AIR GAP\nUsing SST (G1 and G2 pickups) and a feeler gauge (NE pick-\nup), measure the air gap between the signal rotor and pickup\ncoil projection.\nSST 09240–00020 for G1 and G2 pickups\nAir gap:\n0.2–0.5 mm (0.008–0.020 in.)\nIf the air gap is not as specified, replace the distributor hous-\ning assembly.\n4. DISCONNECT DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTOR\n\nOhmmeter\nNE\nG1\nG2\nG⊖\nP10581\n\n5. INSPECT SIGNAL GENERATOR (PICKUP COIL)\nRESISTANCE\nUsing an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between termi-\nnals.\nPickup coil resistance:\nCold\nG1 and G⊖\n125 – 200 Ω\nG2 and G⊖\n125 – 200 Ω\nNE and G⊖\n155 – 250 Ω\nHot\nG1 and G⊖\n160 – 235 Ω\nG2 and G⊖\n160 – 235 Ω\nNE and G⊖\n190 – 290 Ω\nIf the resistance is not as specified, replace the distributor\nhousing assembly.\n6. RECONNECT DISTRIBUTOR CONNECTOR\n7. REINSTALL ROTOR\n8.
