Before servicing (including removal or installation\nof parts, inspection or replacement), be sure to read the fol-\nlowing items carefully, then follow the correct procedure de-\nscribed in this manual.\n\nNegative Cable\n\nB04111\n\n1. Malfunction symptoms of the supplemental restraint system\nare difficult to confirm, so the diagnostic trouble codes\nbecome the most important source of information when\ntroubleshooting. When troubleshooting the supplemental\nrestraint system, always inspect the diagnostic trouble codes\nbefore disconnecting the battery (See page RS–41).\n2.
