REPLACE TIMING BELT\n(See timing belt removal and installation in Engine Mechanical)\n2. INSPECT DRIVE BELT\n(See step 3 in on–vehicle insection in Charging System)\n3. INSPECT AIR FILTER\n(a) Remove the air filter.\n(b) Visually check that the air filter is not excessively damaged or oily.\nIf necessary, replace the air filter.\n(c) Clean the air filter with compressed air.\nFirst blow from the inside thoroughly, then blow off the outside of the air filter.\n(d) Reinstall the air filter.\n4. REPLACE AIR FILTER\nReplace the air filter with a new one.\n5. REPLACE SPARK PLUGS\n(a) 2JZ–GE:\nRemove the throttle body.\n(See throttle body removal in SFI System)\n(b) Remove the No.3 timing belt cover.\n(c) 2JZ–GE:\nRemove the cylinder head rear cover.\n\nCORRECT\nWRONG\n\n(d) Disconnect the high–tension cords at the rubber boot.
