REMOVE CENTER SUPPORT BEARING FROM INTERMEDIATE SHAFT\n(a) Using a hammer and chisel, loosen the staked part of the nut.\n(b) Using SST to hold the flange, remove the nut.\nSST 09930–00021\n(c) Remove the 2 washers.\n\nSST\nR01128\n\nMatchmarks\nR01129\n\n(d) Place matchmarks on the flange and intermediate shaft.\n(e) Using a brass bar and hammer, remove the flange, 2 washers and center support bearing from the intermediate shaft.\n\nR01130\n\n3. INSPECT RUNOUT OF INTERMEDIATE SHAFT AND PROPELLER SHAFT\nMaximum runout:\n0.8 mm (0.031 in.)\nIf the runout is greater than the maximum, replace the propeller shaft assembly.\n\nR01131\n\n4. INSPECT SPIDER BEARING\n• Check if the spider bearing rotates smoothly.\n• Check if there is any play in the spider bearing.\nIf necessary, replace the propeller shaft assembly.\n\nFront\nB06959\n\n5.
