INSTALL COMPANION FLANGE\nUsing SST and a press, install the companion flange.\nSST 09608–30012  (09608–04030),  09608–35014\n(09608–06040)\nNOTICE:\n•  Be careful not to damage the oil seal.\n•  Be careful not to press the bearing too far onto the drive\n   pinion's bearing surface.\n\nSST\nSST\n(or 36 mm Deep\nSocket)\nR07225\n\n22.  ADJUST DRIVE PINION PRELOAD\n(a)  Coat the drive pinion's threads and a new nut's flange with\nhypoid gear oil for LSD.\n(b)  Using SST (and a 36 mm deep socket wrench), tighten the\nnut.\nSST 09229–55010  (Except  2JZ–GTE  M/T  only),\n09330–00021\n\nSST\n(or 36 mm Deep\nSocket)\nR00054\nZ08859\n\n(c)  Using SST (or a 36 mm deep socket) and a torque wrench,\nmeasure the drive pinion preload.\nSST 09229–55010\nPreload (at starting):\n    New bearing\n        2JZ–GTE M/T\n            2.0–2.5 N·m (20–25 kgf·cm, 17.3–21.7 in.·lbf)\n        Except 2JZ–GTE M/T\n            1.2–1.8 N·m (12–18 kgf·cm, 10.8–16.0
